A Sustainable Business

At Volex, we recognise that the world’s climate is changing rapidly and that humanity must transition to a world which rebalances our use of carbon while matching levels of resource demand with resource availability. We recognise the increasingly disruptive changes that are taking place to the world’s climate and we are committed to playing our part in tackling climate change. Our overall objective is to progressively reduce our carbon footprint across our value chain by delivering improvements within our own operations, across our value chain and through our engagement with external stakeholders.

At Volex, we have committed to reducing our emissions to net-zero. In the short term, we continue our efforts to decouple any increase in our emissions from the growth in the business. Electricity is our principal energy source. We have accelerated decarbonisation by increasing our use of renewable electricity, either through expanding on-site solar generation or increasing the procurement of green energy directly from the grid. In FY2026, we received confirmation that our targets and decarbonisation roadmap had been verified by the Science Based Targets initiative ('SBTi'). Further information about our decarbonisation programme is available on page 51 and is described within our Sustainability Report.

We have committed to near term targets (to be achieved by 2035) and we will reduce our scope 1 and 2 emissions by 90%. We will reduce our scope 3 emissions by 64%. We have committed to long term decarbonisation targets (to be achieved by 2050) that will bring our total scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions to net-zero (or earlier if otherwise agreed by the international community). During FY2026, we updated our base year to FY2025 to reflect the material changes to our business resulting from the 2023 acquisition of the Murat Ticaret business.

In FY2023, we completed a comprehensive review of the risks and opportunities presented by climate change following the recommendations of the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (‘TCFD’) a year ahead of this becoming a legal requirement for Volex. In FY2026, we have completed a comprehensive analysis of climate-related risks and opportunities and this has been prepared in line with the full recommendations of the TCFD. We continue to evolve our non-financial disclosures in line with emerging recommendations and principles, ensuring we remain compliant with the reporting requirements in sections 414CA and 414CB of the Companies Act.

At Volex, we are embedding sustainability deep within our global supply chain. Through responsible sourcing, ESG-focused supplier engagement, and localised procurement strategies, we aim to reduce emissions, improve transparency, and uphold ethical standards.

Our Supplier Code of Conduct and ESG qualification processes ensure our partners align with our values—from environmental stewardship to human rights. We continue to raise awareness across our teams, evolve audit practices, and strengthen supply chain resilience.

By integrating sustainability into procurement decisions, we’re not only reducing risk but also creating shared value. As our business grows, we remain committed to working closely with suppliers to drive positive environmental and social impact.

At Volex, we embed environmental responsibility into our product design and manufacturing processes. From electric vehicles to medical equipment and data centres, our products support sustainability across diverse industries.

We focus on eliminating hazardous substances, increasing recyclability, and extending product life through innovation and responsible material choices. Our teams actively design for circularity and comply with evolving global safety and environmental standards.

As we advance product lifecycle assessments and carbon footprint transparency, we remain committed to delivering high-quality solutions that minimise environmental impact and support a more sustainable future. Ongoing collaboration with customers also helps us align our product innovations with their sustainability goals.

At Volex, we are committed to transparent sustainability engagement and continuous improvement in our reporting and disclosures.

We actively participate in global disclosure platforms such as CDP and EcoVadis, and our progress is further critiqued through platforms such as Sustainalytics. Through these disclosures we continue to demonstrate our openness and responsiveness to our stakeholders’ expectations.

Our progress on key environmental metrics has earned us recognition from respected organizations including the FT Europe and Time Magazine reinforcing our position as a responsible and forward-thinking company.
