At Volex, our Environmental Policy and Responsible Water Use Policy guide our long-term commitment to sustainability. We are reducing emissions at source, investing in renewable energy, and designing operations that minimise waste and water use.
These changes are aligned with our science-based goals—not reliant on offsets—and are already being implemented through sustainability standards which are in place across global sites.
By integrating environmental responsibility into how we operate every day, we’re building a business that is not only low-impact and resource-efficient, but is also more resilient to future risks and opportunities. This commitment supports our goal of becoming a zero-carbon business.

At Volex, we recognise the urgent need for businesses to take meaningful action against climate change. Our Net Zero Road Map is grounded in science-based targets that were approved by the SBTi in 2025, using FY2025 as our base year. In the near term, by FY2035, Volex commits to reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2 (location-based) GHG emissions by 90%. We also aim to cut absolute Scope 3 emissions from fuel- and energy-related activities (Category 3) and waste generated in operations (Category 5) by 90%, while reducing Scope 3 emissions from purchased goods and services (Category 1) and use of sold products (Category 11) by 64% per USD value added. Looking further ahead, our long-term targets for FY2050 focus on maintaining at least 90% reductions in Scope 1 and 2 emissions and achieving a 90% reduction in absolute Scope 3 emissions, ensuring a comprehensive, value-chain-wide approach to reaching Net Zero.
