RNS Number:4767M Volex Group PLC 24 January 2008 Volex Group plc DIRECTORATE CHANGES The Board of Volex Group plc (the "Company") today announces the appointment of Chris Geoghegan as an independent non-executive director and the retirement of Dimitri Goulandris from his position as a non-executive director. Both changes are effective from 1 March 2008. Chris Geoghegan will be a member of the audit, remuneration and nomination committees. Chris Geoghegan, 53, was until 31 December 2007 the group executive director of BAE Systems plc, responsible for all European joint ventures; the company's commercial aerospace interests as well as the UK wholly owned electronics business and shared services. He is also chairman of Hampson Industries plc and a non-executive director of Kier Group plc. Chris is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and was previously President of the Society of British Aerospace Companies. Commenting on the Board changes, Richard Arkle, Chairman said: "I am very much looking forward to welcoming Chris to the Board. His considerable knowledge of the military and aerospace industry, together with his operating and international experience, will add a valuable dimension to the Board. The recent appointments of Chris Geoghegan and Mike McTighe will both strengthen and complement the existing Board of directors with their valuable insight and knowledge of the key and strategic market segments of the Volex Group. Dimitri Goulandris joined the Board in May 2006 and I would like to thank Dimitri for his valued contribution to the Board and the dedication and commitment he has demonstrated throughout."
