Job Title: Inside Sales Representative – EMEA
Location: London, UK
The primary duty of the Inside Sales Representative is to deliver excellent customer relationship management in support of the EMEA sales organization. To achieve this objective he/she will build solid, in-depth relationships with customers and the Volex EMEA field sales team aimed at fulfilling a trusting rapport and expanding the customer's commitment to use Volex as a supplier.
Essential Job Functions
Salesforce.com maintenance activities and follow up with sales team
Assist sales team with various account management activities
Maintains relationships with customers by providing support, information, and guidance through regular communication
Be the “voice of the customer” inside Volex
Support VP Sales with maintenance of customer targets and leads & basic market research
Assisting sales team with accurate sales forecasting
Support sales team with preparation of basic presentation material (Powerpoint)
Assist sales team with periodic price update requests (quarterly updates etc)
Works closely with Customer Service/Order Management team to support customer needs
Manage EMEA sales website enquiries
NPI and ECO follow up for sales team
Samples request support
Identifies operational or system issues and resolves or escalates as appropriate.
Ability to respond to rapid change, perform duties with accuracy and with a strong degree of urgency, prioritize and perform work without detailed supervision
Initiates, drives, and responds to company or team initiatives through such activities as:
Identifying potential growth accounts (utilizing Market Development, Market Share reports, etc.) and proactively seeking out the opportunity.
Skills and Attributes
3+ years’ Inside Sales or Customer Service role ideally in the interconnect area
Experienced user of Salesforce.com preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
Understanding of product costing (Bill of Material) would be an advantage
Fluent in written and spoken English (other European languages an advantage)
Experience in a manufacturing company a plus
Ability to work independently
Ability to occasionally travel to customers
